MY FIRST PAY CHEQUE!

I really didn’t know what to buy for my first pay cheque. Bag, Watch, Clothes or just blow the whole lot! I didn’t quite do that but went for a Marc Jacobs watch. Having seen Michael Kors pretty much everywhere even in the windows of the stores I decided to treat myself to something different! I know how easy it is to fall under trends and with the rose gold version of my watch I was very tempted. But in the end I went for a silver one, classic and small which is perfect for an everyday go to piece.

What did you spend on your first pay cheque?

GOOD VIBES ONLY!!

After a few months of non blogging, things have just turned around for me! Taking a step away from blogging and going the direction I am today. It feels like everything has fallen into place for the right reasons.
I'm feeling ever so more positive! I would just say "Never give up!" being a graduate is hard work, it only takes a moment to loose track but you have to get back on the road! Sometimes it really is down to luck but be prepared to take a few risks and hopefully it'll make a difference! :)

A TRIP TO PRIMARK!

Having not shopped for a while, I popped into Primark a few weeks ago looking for some holiday pieces. I'm off to Croatia in a week and a half so better reason to hit the shops and find some new bits to pack. With summer around the corner I can wear these during the holidays. I was surprised at some of the designs they had as Primark is getting a bit of a hit and miss these days.

CABANA - BRASILIAN BARBECUE

So this month I've decided on a shopping ban, only window shopping and so far I've kept to my word. Not having purchased any clothing items I have a feeling I will need to splurge out soon for some upcoming events next month.
So if I'm not shopping, what am I doing?? Eating is the answer! I love food and this year I have been exploring and trying out new restaurants.  For the meantime, fashion posts will be put on hold.

RESTAURANT: CABANA
CUISINE: BRASILIAN BARBECUE
LOCATION: WESTFIELD WHITE CITY (SOUTHERN TERRACE)

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service. Tasty food! Recommended and coming here again! What makes it so special? The main was brought to the table by a skewer where the food had been grilled and placed on the plate by a waitress (Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo in time). Great flavour in all dishes and just look at the decor, perfect for a evening meal out!

THE MENUS

THE DECOR

STARTER: CRUNCHY RICE BOLINHOS &
CRISPY CHEESE PARCELS

DRINK: AMAZON ICE TEA

POST VALENTINES

I hope everyone had  a lovely Valentines whether it was with friends, family or your other half. I on the other hand was working but today I'm off to London for the weekend. Starting off by going to the cinema and seeing 'HER', a bit of shopping and dinner at Fables tonight.

I thought I' would write a post about my daily pieces I tend to wear. Plus a lip and nail product to embrace the love. Haha.
I've been loving rings lately and want to buy another two. I find costume/ high st jewelry doesn't last as long. As much as I love my Topshop bands they are sadly fading colour.

Jewelry: Rings - Rose gold rings from Monica Vinader (stacking rings) Labrodorite and Moonstone
Silver Ring from Pandora (January birth stone
Bracelet from Monica Vinader symbolises Luck

NEW IN: BOOHOO

Overdue post: Last month I made a Boohoo purchase, having ordered from there before I saw some new pieces that would fit nicely in my wardrobe.

A turtle neck top which I have seen similar on ASOS  (only available in black or white on Boohoo)  and something out of my comfort zone, a neon lime pleated skirt from their style steal collection (It is also available in other bright colours or a classic black).

I think these two pieces look great together paired with some heels in the evening or some boots in the day. Perfect for combining outfits together with cami tops or tailored trousers to make the outfit dressed up or down.

TOP: BOOHOO ( Dani Turtle Neck Woven Shell Top
SKIRT: BOOHOO ( Tianna Box Pleat

THE PASTEL PINK COAT

Move aside black, grey and navy and welcome my new addition to the wardrobe. Say hello to my new pastel pink coat from Red Herring via Debenhams, (originally looking for a pastel blue coat) this one caught my eye and with only one in my size I couldn't resist. Thank you mummy! Did I also mention it was in the sale, just under £40 this is the perfect coat to transition into spring!

SALE HAUL @ZARA AND NEW LOOK

I was a bit disappointed with sales this year. Or just a bit cautious with not spending things that I wouldn't really wear and just purchase things because they were discounted.  Which comes to my views on buying this year. "Do I need this item, will I wear it, will it fit in my wardrobe". I've bought pieces that I wear ridiculously amounts of and then the odd piece which I just fall out of love with. Time for change!

It's no surprise for me if I didn't buy anything black, it would be grey or navy! 'my bad' but these colors just instantly fall in my wardrobe.

Let's have a look at my picks.

My most recent purchase are these New Look shoes, for £7 I couldn't really pass on the offer. I think they'll look great in the day or night paired with some trousers or skirts. I  tried them on the day after and just can't wait for the weather to brighten up and wear these.
The two sweaters are from Zara, the first is a grey lightweight knitted jumper which feels so soft and the next sweater is a navy and black combination. I really like the ribbed texture on the end of the sleeves and side. One of my best best sale buys!

SHOES: NEW LOOK £7 , SWEATERS: ZARA  £12.99 each

What sales items did you pick up, any good discounts?

NEW DISCOVERIES ONLINE

My rambles on about online shopping have continued into the New Year! Firstly, going through the phases of Missguided and Boohoo, my next few discoveries come from three online retailers. Sheinside, Romwe and Choies. These three have surfaced upon many bloggers baskets and not having purchased anything from these sites before I was on the look for a new coat to transition into spring.

My reviews:

Positives - They have such a range of designs and clothing. This is great to find something different from high street retailers.

Comparing the three online stores, I would say Sheinside prices are slightly cheaper and reasonable without pushing the boundaries. Also, on this site you can collect points to receive money off next purchases. You also get a lot of reviews on the clothing and I like how on She Inside you can upload your own photos for other people to see.

Expect free shipping worldwide

Negatives:

I find searching for a items difficult, it isns’t as precise and you get all sorts of results. There is also no option to select specific sizes or colours on some of the sites which make browsing slightly difficult.

Although delivery is free expect items to be received minimum up to a month. Purchases made are better when planned in advance so you receive them on time.

I placed 2 items from Sheinside on 6/01/2014 so I will be reviewing and showing you what I got. I'm looking forward for my package to arrive.

Have you bought anything from these sites?

HELLO KURT GEIGER

Lets talk bags today -  I've been looking for a leather chain bag for sometime. Thinking on the lines of Chanel, seeing them everywhere and seeing them in store makes me want to own one. But I can't afford one right now but it is something I plan to purchase in the future.

I was grateful to receive this Kurt Geiger bag from my brother for my birthday(Lucky girl I am). I spotted this beauty on the site and it was actually on sale which is also a bonus. Unfortunately, it wasn't in stock online but my brother was in London and picked it up.

I love how it can be worn on the chain strap or tucked inside the bag as a clutch. Inside is a zip compartment to keep some important items and the flap has a magnetic piece to enclose the bag. The size is medium. They have also launched some new colours for spring but I kept with the classic black to go with pretty much every outfit and the gold detail makes the bag stand out.

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!

I'm Feeling 22! What a great start to the year and the first weekend of January celebrating my birthday in London. 2 days and 5 different venues! I'll just sum up what I got up to.

On Friday I went to see Disney On Ice at the O2. It was an amazing show and brought back childhood memories, quite magical! Followed by dinner at the Palour, Canary Wharf. Absolutely full, the portions were huge, we also got some fairy tale cocktails. Great atmosphere! Back into central for a drink at the Criterion and listening to Andy's piano performance.

Saturday, I ended up staying the night in London. After getting up late and pretty much rushing back. There were also disruptions on the train so by the time I got back I had an hour to shower and get ready for the night ahead. I booked a table at 'The Foundation Bar',Covent Garden. Loved the music and liveliness. We ended up having dinner at Belgo's due to some late planning. (I thank my friends for their quick thinking) After dinner it was back to Foundation. Such a tiring weekend, I ended up sleeping on the train back.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL MY FRIENDS!! I took so many photos last weekend so I'll treasure all those memories! A wonderful start to the year!!

This is what I wore:

DRESS: EBAY
TOP: TOPSHOP
TROUSERS: FOREVER 21

BELATED HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I can't possibly think where the last 12 months have gone. Time has passed so quickly with many great things happening and I can't wait to see what 2014 brings.

Why the belated Happy New Years post? Firstly, I had no plans to go out, there were ideas floating around but I got to the stage where I would happily sit at home, watching TV and films. The night before we bought tickets to this club and before I knew it, the next day I was still deciding what to wear. I would normally go and buy a new outfit but I just put together one which I wore last month. Not that imaginative but it worked and I felt comfortable! Happy New Year!!

This is what I wore:

TOP: PRIMARK
TROUSERS: H&M
BLAZER: ZARA
SHOES: TOPSHOP
BAG: SALVATORE FERRAGAMO
