KEEPING THINGS SIMPLE

I hope everyone has had a good week! The sun is out - I'm making the most of eating ice cream and  enjoying the Wimbledon Season! I can't believe some of the big names are out from the mens' tournament but it gives the opportunity for the likes of Murray!!

I'm working tonight but looking forward to (Confederations Cup Final) Spain vs Brazil - I love a good football match especially the jaw dropping game Italy vs Spain which resulted in penalties.Spain Won.

Ok, enough rambles on sport. Here's my outfit of the day. Keeping things simple- quite monochrome with a pop of colour. These pieces are very versatile and can be worn in different combinations. White boyfriend t shirt with rolled up sleeves tucked in a skater a skirt, paired with some low wedges. The orange bag gives the right amount of contrast to give the outfit a lift - picks up the sunnies and now I'm ready to go.

Boyfriend T shirt - Primark
Skater Skirt - Topshop
Wedges - Primark
Bag - Zara

FASHION WITHOUT MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

The content surrounding fashion can be found everywhere these days, from magazines such as Look to Vogue or online. I have never signed up to a magazine subscription, instead I find my material through FREE magazines which can be found on Sundays when buying a newspaper. These are a quick and easy way to keep up with the latest trends and gain beauty tips. Don't expect a large content spread like a magazine but just an overview of key pieces and advice. They don't cover as much high street labels but it's a good little read for inspiration and style - My favourites are Style and Stella.

ROYAL ASCOT AND LONDON WEEKEND

I hope everyone had a good weekend! I'll start by sharing my experience at the Royal Ascot. This is the second time apart from going to the family races in Ascot when I was younger. We were really lucky with the weather this year and set ourselves up at a table near the racecourse. With ciders and snacks aside, it was great to get involved and place bets. Apart from not winning anything I didn't really mind as I had a great time (I don't have much luck ever). We purchased tickets for the silver ring with a party package - it was great to dress up and see other peoples outfits!

Did you go Royal Ascot this year? Post your blog link so I can see what you were wearing.

My Ascot Outfit:

Asos Dress
Vintage Valentino Sunglasses
Anya Hindmarch bag

Saturday: In the evening I was going to be in London to celebrate my friends 21st birthday. Karaoke in Chinatown then hitting Zebranos
My plan was to leave early, go sale shopping in London. However, leaving rather late I only had just under 2 hours before we had to meet. After hopping on the tube I headed straight to Knightsbridge as I haven't been there for a while and checked out Harrods and Zara. Not having much time to actually look around it was probably a good idea as I don't have much money. Drinks were flowing, everyone singing and dancing. Such a great!! I'll definitely be coming here again!

OFF TO ANOTHER BBQ

I'm loving bbq's this year!! You can never depend on the British weather, sunny one minute then raining. I was off to a friends BBQ from university and lucky enough we expected some wonderful sun. I'm normally one to get the iPhone out and snap away at the food and what we got up to, but I guess I was caught up in the moment and enjoying the food too much ( Homemade burgers, kebabs and profiteroles might I add - I wish I captured a few to show you guys). He definitely treated us and we all felt rather full afterwards.

Quick snap of myself and a coffee ( a must have on long train journeys)

GOOD TO BE HOME!

The last week of University has officially come to an end. I can't possibly think where the last three years have gone! I still remember studying for my A levels and wishing I'd get a place at University. It's been tough, definitely stressful at times but I've had the best memories from start to finish. I've met some amazing friends and experienced so much during my time.

That was just a short overall summary of my time at University. But I'm back home now! My dad picked me up and stuffed all my bags and boxes into the car (Father's day). If you've been to University, you'll realize how much luggage you actually take with you when you start packing. My gosh, i must of been bringing back more things every time I went home. But luckily enough, I managed to get everything in.

As it was Father's day and I came back home, we ended up going to the seafood market and treated ourselves with fish and crabs. Quite a feast served with vegetables and rice - home cooking is definitely one of the best things to come home to!

Hope everyone had a lovely Father's day!

Here's just a few snaps!

Food and Drink: Afternoon Tea @ The Tea Terrace

Since celebrating my 21st birthday and going to London for afternoon tea I've had a little obsession with the whole concept. From breakfast tea, scones, cakes and sandwiches - everything seems too tasty. So when my friend Felicity told me about Afternoon Tea at House of Fraser, i was rather intrigued because during my three years at University I didn't know about this hidden gem. Surrounded by beautiful displays of teapots in a relaxed environment it's the perfect spot for catching up or treating yourself. So on Wednesday I took a few friends and we actually spent a few hours just catching up and eating delicious food.

Afternoon Tea for 2 costs £22 @The Tea Terrace.

Have you tried Afternoon Tea?

Shopping: The Wedge Shoe

The past few months I've spotted quite a few low wedge shoes and heeled sandals. The transition from winter boots to sandals is starting to grow on me and I've been on another shoe spree. To my delight, surprisingly this pair comes from Primark! I used to buy a lot of my ballet pumps from here, but I seem to buy elsewhere now. However, I do like some of the styles they bring out and they are often cheap so it's great if you like changing up your footwear.

Let me start by saying this pair cost me £10.That's correct, £10!! I can't quite believe it.Comfortable, classic, versatile and  stylish comes in mind. The low wedge shoe is made of a suede material and has a buckle around the ankle which is adjustable -quite the perfect pair for a day of shopping or cocktails in the evening. I don't know what else to say except from if you see these in your local Primark, buy them!

Have you spotted a best buy in Primark lately?

Sunday Notes: The Busy Weekend

Where has the sun disappeared to? I find myself sitting in doors and relaxing after a busy weekend. I don't normally have a jam packed weekend but since finishing exams and University coming to an end, my diary seems to be filling up with all sorts of events.

Friday, supposedly being the hottest day according to the weather forecast. Nevertheless, the British weather is always unpredictable and the unexpected showers in the morning seemed like the BBQ would't go ahead. However, by 3 o clock the sun started to appear and the food was all set for the BBQ.

Saturday, House party!! Celebrating my friends 21st, no playing cards but beer pong was on the menu, a lot of drink mixing and music. Party hats and Party bags bringing back the old days - I didn't know what to expect but leaving  around 1am, munchies then bed.

Sunday, catching up on 90210 - tidying my room and sleeping.

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!

The Hunt: Zara and New Look

Why the Hunt? After visiting their online site ,refreshing the pages - No Luck,No stock. However I was determined to find the bag after taking a short trip to London, gong into 2 Zara stores but nothing, closest I got was seeing the green version ( Which does look lovely) but I wanted a pop of colour. Lucky enough a sales assistant did a store check and there I was, Covent Garden Zara. Hello, orange Zara Bag - perfect for spring and summer!

The next item, a pair of limited edition cut out boots from New Look. I've been on the search for a pair of cut out boots, seeing quite a few pairs from Office to Topshop but nothing I really loved until I came across this pair. After looking on the site and deciding whether to buy them I left with no purchase but seemed to be going back on the site.  My mistake, to which they were sold out and not available in the London stores. But  a few days after purchasing the Zara bag and checking the New Look Site. Size 5 available!! I quickly added them to the basket and never looked back.
